Okay, so I am new to this blogging so hang in there if I start to ramble.

Hmmm, well, about me.

I am a thirty something living in north Scotland. When I say thirty something... I really mean more something than thirty... in fact there is only just over one year of something left!! Crap where did the time go? It only seems a couple of years ago I was bouncing around at a Duran Duran concert. Oh yeah, that was a couple of years ago... reunion tour. John Taylor still has it, 'sigh'.

So anyway... north Scotland. I am not a local lass. My husband and I moved here six and a half years ago. I come from the heart of Wiltshire. Draw a line from Bath to Salisbury and you will find my home town somewhere in the middle. After living my whole life in the same town (apart from two years in Plymouth to attend Art College) we decided to move.

Shocked the pants off the whole family, but it was the right decision for us.

Now living surrounded by fields in an old house with NO CENTRAL HEATING!!!! If I was writing this in the summer that would not be in capitals, but this is December and it is sodding freezing here.
If you see three cars and a sheep on the road, consider yourself in a traffic jam. This is a great place to live.

I have been married for coming up 19 years.... I know... child bride. (Ha!) My husband and I met when he was 18 and I was 17, ahhh. The secret to a happy marrige? Sheds. He has one and when we get on each others nerves, he makes use of it. He even built a wood burning stove out of an old gas bottle to keep it warm. He did not come to bed one night so when I put on my dressing gown, wellies, and coat to go find him, he was fast asleep on the shed floor with the dog all nice and cozy like.

Anyway, our life has been trotting on just the two of us, with various animals along the way, for the last 18 and a bit years, but in 2010 all is about to change.

Kids.

I can't have them.... so we don't have them.... until now. We have been approved for adoption and are now waiting to hear if they have children for us. Gulp!!!
